December 5, 2022
The Adams 12 GT Parents Group holds monthly leadership meetings to update members on GT resources and plan events for Adams 12 GT families. This is a great way to connect with other GT parents and support our community. Our final 2022 meeting will be held virtually on December 5 at 6pm.
If you would like to know more about the group, are interested in getting more involved, or simply looking for connection with other GT parents, please join us at our next leadership/liaison meeting on December 5, 6-8pm. See more details and let us know you are coming HERE.
Our Spring 2023 leadership meetings are scheduled for 1/18, 2/6, 3/7, and 5/8.
Parent Education Series
Thank you to everyone who attended our Parent Education Meeting on November 15 where we shared highlights and resources from the CAGT conference!
For those who were unable to attend, you can find a video recording of the presentation and a copy of the slides with resource links on our Parent Education Series page. While you are there, check out the other videos and resources from past meetings.
Our next Parent Education Meeting will take place in early January, topic TBD. The date is tentatively set as January 9 but may change when we secure our speaker. We'll add more details here as soon as they are available. If you have a topic you would like to see at a Parent Meeting, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org!

GT Parent Social Hour
In response to feedback from our parents asking for more community building, we are adding a series of informal meet-ups for parents of GT students. The social hours will be held about once a month.
These meet ups are open to any parent or caregiver of a GT or talent pool student. If you have questions, concerns, or just want to talk with other parents who might have similar experiences, this is the place for you! Please bring your stories and your questions and join us.
The next GT Parent Social Hour will be on Tuesday, December 6 at 6:30pm at 5280 Burger Bar in Westminster. Please RSVP to let us know you are coming!

Super Saturday 10
Save the date! Our 10th annual Super Saturday event for elementary GT and talent pool students is coming on February 25!
The Super Saturday event is a series of hands on mini-classes which expose the students to topics in a more detailed, hands-on way than they might get at school. Past Super Saturdays have included sessions on weaving, cryptography, static electricity, theatre, yoga, mock trials, government, and so much more!
Look for more information on registering for this popular event in January! This event is not possible without many adult and high school volunteers and the sign-ups for that will come in January as well.
If you know of someone who might make a great Super Saturday guest teacher, or if you would like to help out with planning this event, please contact us at email@example.com.
New to GT?
Do you have a newly-identified GT student?

If you are unsure where to start, check out these short videos for parents of newly-identified GT students and look over the other resources available on our page. If you have other questions, we are here to help! Just send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Welcome!
Did you know that all of our parent education meetings, Super Saturday's, MS activities, and field trips are planned and coordinated by parents like you? In order to continue providing these programs for you and your children, we need your help! Please become involved in your child's education by volunteering to help with an Adams 12 GT Parents Group event or by attending one of our monthly Leadership meetings to learn about GT resources and updates and plan events for Adams 12 GT families. Support GT programs in your school!
The school district and the A12GTPG will continue to build the "school liaison" program to strengthen communication to families and to build our GT community. Each liaison has the opportunity to join meetings during the school year where district staff, the A12GTPG and other Liaisons gather to discuss how to best bring resources to our schools, GT students and their families. Help us move forward GT programming in your school!
