This family service opportunity is open to any grade of GT or talent pool student in the Adams 12 school district and their families (parents/caregivers are expected to stay with their kiddos). Come to the Broomfield Commons Open Space (13200 Sheridan Blvd Broomfield, CO 80020) on Saturday, April 18th, 10am - 2pm to celebrate Earth Day with a trash clean up! This is a custom group Adopt-an-Area project and we'll need you to RSVP no later than Friday, April 10th so that we can make final arrangements with the County of Broomfield.
We'll meet near the sports fields where we will have a Broomfield Wildlife Master educational table set up just for our group starting at 10am where kids can ask questions, learn about Broomfield wildlife, get coloring sheets, and touch animal pelts!
At 11:30am we will begin our trash pick up of the area to the south of the soccer/football field. Please arrive by that time if you're planning on helping pick up trash so that we can hand out materials, maps, and give instructions on where to leave trash you collect.
There's also a free Earth Day event being held at the Paul Derda Recreation Center nearby from 1-4pm that you're welcome to attend after this event.
If you have any questions, please contact us at info@a12gifted.org. We hope to see you there!
