at STEM Launch K-8 school

​

We are excited to announce that we will once again host Super Saturday, our signature event for Adams 12 gifted elementary students, at STEM Launch K-8 school on February 25.  Super Saturday is a day-long series of interactive sessions that provide K-5 GT and talent pool students the chance to delve into topics they likely have not encountered at school.

In order to accommodate as many students as possible, we will continue the format used last year and students may choose between a morning OR afternoon session. This year's event will:

 

• ​Include approximately 175 GT and talent pool students from kindergarten to 5th grade

• Offer 12 different student speakers divided between 10 student tracks each with 3 45-minute student sessions

• Offer parent speakers on topics of interest to GT families

• Provide AM and PM options, offering more flexibility for our busy GT families.

Who Can Attend:  Student sessions are available for Adams 12 gifted or talent pool students in grades K-5.  Parent sessions are open to ALL parents with GT or talent pool students of any age, and parents are encouraged to attend with or without students.

When and Where:  Saturday, February 25 at STEM Launch K-8 school.  The morning session will run 8:30am-11:30am and the afternoon session will run 12:30pm - 3:30pm.  

​

Sessions/Tracks:  Students will have the choice "tracks," each consisting of 3 classes. See the schedule posted below.  Each session is hosted by a professional from the community who loves their work and wants to share their passions with our students. This year, families have an option to choose either the AM schedule from 8:30 to 11:30 or the PM option from 12:30 to 3:30. For both AM and PM, there is one track available for K/1 students, with two tracks each for students in grades 2/3 and 4/5.

Cost: Students should only be registered for ONE track in either AM OR PM and will attend each of the 3 sessions listed for that track.  The cost for this event is $15 per student. Parents and other adults attend for FREE! Your donation of $15 per student helps the volunteer-run Adams 12 GT Parents Group provide your family with this full-day experience and also helps to fund other GT speakers and events throughout the year.​
