On Sept. 14, we had students and staff from Horizon SOAR, Legacy 2000, Mountain Range HS of Business, and Northglenn STEM Pathways and P>TECH come and talk to us about their programs.  If you were not able to attend the discussion, you will have an opportunity to hear about each of these programs in more detail during the HS program information nights that will be presented online on November 15-16, 2021 by the Adams 12 district. 

 

In the meantime, please know that all of these high school programs teach students the confidence and leadership skills they will need to be successful in any future endeavor, qualities that were displayed in abundance by the students who spoke at the panel discussion.  While thinking about the educational path of your student, please consider these words of wisdom from Legacy 2000 Coordinator, Jason Cianfrance, shared after the panel discussion:

"It is valid and appropriate to look around for schools and programs that offer things that are of interest to your student.

 

In the end, it is not about finding the perfect fit. Perfect fits do not encourage growth. Students cannot go through their lives expecting all of their educational experiences to be 'just right.' This is not a recipe for long term success and growth.

 

Based on what I heard and saw, I would feel comfortable having my own child be in any of the programs shared last night. 

 

Any student who shows passion, work ethic, and a strong desire to succeed will succeed, regardless of their choice in this matter."
